PROJECT INTRODUCTION

With challenging conditions in the Majnoon and Basrah regions, Shell prioritised the safety of its employees and contractors. Recognising the risks of road travel, Shell aimed to enhance road safety measures.

CHALLENGES

Risky Road Conditions: Managing the dangers associated with road travel in challenging environments. Comprehensive Driver Training: Covering various vehicle types and addressing critical safety subjects. Quality and Relevance: Ensuring high-quality training that is culturally relevant.

SOLUTION

ESSURA designed and delivered Defensive Driver Training (DDT) courses tailored to Shell's needs. Training for light vehicles, heavy goods, and buses. Critical subjects such as journey management, roadworthiness, driver fatigue, and distractions. Training over 5500-6000 drivers in defensive driving techniques and safety standards. Delivery by expat UK and local Iraqi trainers to ensure quality and cultural relevance.
