PROJECT INTRODUCTION

The Tiger Woods Dubai is a private, residential community development that was to include the world’s first golf course to be designed by Tiger Woods. Although never built, ESSURA were commissioned to undertake a thorough risk assessment to identify, prioritise and recommend mitigation measures to tackle the security threats associated with such an iconic golfing venue. We also developed the security design, producing detailed construction documentation to allow for the ultimate procurement of a contractor.

CHALLENGES

Ensuring appropriate consideration is given to security at the earliest possible stage in the project to facilitate the development of an integrated and coherent design.

SOLUTION

Through implementation of value engineering principles and review of the various consultants’ designs, drawings, reports and deliverables we were able to seamlessly integrate security design with other project elements. This ensured security considerations were incorporated at every stage, with ESSURA providing essential guidance throughout the process. During the Concept Design stage, we collaborated with SB Architects, the Local Architect of Record, and other sub-consultants, offering expert advice on regulatory compliance and reviewing key documentation. This ensured that security standards were met from the outset.
