PROJECT INTRODUCTION

Port De La Mer is a luxurious, private residential beachfront community comprising a mix of dining, shopping, leisure, entertainment and hospitality experiences.

ESSURA were appointed to provide Security Consultancy Services for the Public Realm areas including the Marina Promenade. Our original scope was extended at construction stage to include Project Management and Site Supervision of the security installation.

CHALLENGES

Accessible from both land and sea the development required consideration of threats arising from both. In addition, there was a mandatory requirement to develop a standardised, integrated, minimalist security solution that didn’t distract from the developer’s original design intent.

SOLUTION

ESSURA undertook a Security Threat, Vulnerability and Risk Assessment, and resulting full security design, at Port De La Mer. We then provided assurance that the selected contractor’s installation was in accordance with our design and the client’s stringent requirements, particularly in respect of aesthetics.

BENEFITS

Through appropriate specification ESSURA developed a security system design that did not detract in anyway from the luxury experience the developer desired for residents and visitors. We also assured the installation delivered against this expectation.

RAS LAFFAN PORT EXPANSION, QATAR

The development comprised 1 million square metres of brownfield site to create a new business park in Riyadh. Host to 10 government authorities, hotel, conference facilities, retail units and food and beverage outlets this mixed-use development aimed to offer a lively urban environment.
