PROJECT INTRODUCTION

KPC, a joint venture of RN Middle East Pte. Ltd. and KAR Pipelines Ltd., was established in 2017 to manage and operate the export pipeline in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq for 20 years, under a Concession Agreement with the Kurdistan Regional Government.

CHALLENGES

Diverse Training Needs: Providing a wide range of HSE training courses to over 600 employees and contractors.

Accreditation Requirements: Ensuring courses are accredited by external bodies like IOSH, NEBOSJ, and Compex.

Coordination Across Sites: Managing training delivery across multiple locations, including five pump stations and two mobile crews.

SOLUTION

ESSURA secured a two-year contract with KPC to design, develop, and deliver 45 different types of HSE training. The training program included:

– Monthly planned and approved training sessions.

– Coordination with KPC Head Office, Station Managers, and HSE teams.

– On-site training and purpose-built training centres in Erbil for courses requiring extensive outdoor practical exercises.

SECURITY TRAINING, KUWAIT

To meet the Kuwaiti oil industry’s need for a standardised training program, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) approached ESSURA to develop, deliver, and administer a 12-month comprehensive training package.

FIRE LIFE SAFETY, JORDON AND IRAQ

PetroChina Co. Ltd. is a major player in the petroleum industry, involved in exploration, production, refining, chemicals, marketing, natural gas, and pipelines. To enhance fire safety, PetroChina invested in training local national firefighters.

GENERAL HSE TRAINING, IRAQ

Our client, a large multinational oil and gas company, manages hydrocarbon exploration and production on the West Qurna-2 field in Southern Iraq. The project achieved first oil production in March 2014 and has seen significant growth, producing over 400,000 bpd with plans to double this capacity through expansion. Lukoil wanted to introduce a comprehensive training matrix to minimise safety risks.

RAS LAFFAN PORT EXPANSION, QATAR

The development comprised 1 million square metres of brownfield site to create a new business park in Riyadh. Host to 10 government authorities, hotel, conference facilities, retail units and food and beverage outlets this mixed-use development aimed to offer a lively urban environment.
